Empty Walls: Dealing with COVID-19

As a social entreprenuer who is passionate about women empowerment, gender equality, inclusion and entreprenuership, the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic most definitely put a pause in our lives, especially with my individual projects across the global goals that means so much to me.

Reminiscing my work with project Rebirth, seeing empty training halls can be emotional.

Here, I contributed to financial inclusion by helping low income women access entreprenuerial skills for self development and financial power but it is unfortunate and saddening that we have to go on a break in obedience to the social distancing rule set out by the government to curb the spread of the Corona Virus.

Also, our training area for Merit Ed-Tech to ensure girls involvement in digital skills and STEM have been closed for a while.

As the world is taking it's time to heal, I salute the brave warriors, the medical personnels, delivery guys, volunteers and everyone working to solve and curb the COVID-19. We will survive this and as the sun shines to bring in a new era, may peace come with it.

Meanwhile, STAY HOME and STAY SAFE. We are in this together.
